ICD is entrusted with creating wealth and long-term value to the Emirate of Dubai through the consolidation of the Government’s portfolio of commercial companies and investments. In doing so, ICD conforms to strict principles of corporate governance, follows an operating model that consistently delivers on ICD’s business strategy and has deployed an investment strategy geared towards the creation of long-term value, stability and prosperity for Dubai.
Managing Director’s Message
As the principal investment arm of the government of Dubai, ICD is mandated with aligning Dubai’s needs and long-term prosperity with the shifting global landscape.
Our interest is multi-sectorial as we span the globe to expand portfolio opportunities that complement and create synergies with our existing investments. Inspired and empowered by the vision and leadership of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, VP and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, we work towards fulfilling Dubai’s potential as we operate an efficient and dynamic organisation of dedicated professionals, balancing deep expertise with a focused investment strategy to create long-term value for our stakeholders.
We pursue strategic opportunities that enhance our asset base and that of our portfolio companies. We are uniquely positioned to identify and invest in demographic and technological disruptors that create both challenges and opportunities alike and we provide the platform that supports our portfolio of now global companies to set new benchmarks of excellence.
We gauge economic and social variables where our operating model has allowed us to manage risks prudently, effectively encouraging good governance, compliance with leading practices, and synergistic collaboration within our portfolio companies.

Despite challenging business conditions our portfolio companies have since ICD’s inception shown resilience and delivered over time a strong operational and financial performance.
